Arthur Googy
Arthur, nicknamed "The Goog" by his Misfits pals, joined the band in April 1980 and remained until April 1982 when he left after an argument with Glenn. He was with the band during the famous MSP sessions as well as the Mix-O-Lydian and Fair Lawn sessions of 1981 that resulted in the Walk Among Us LP. After The Misfits, Arthur joined Antidote, a New York band that later opened for The Misfits. Arthur still lives in New York City.
Glenn Danzig
Born on 06/23/1955, Glenn was The Misfits' lead singer and songwriter. He graduated from Lodi High School in 1973 and was in several bands, including Talus and Whodat And Boojang, before forming The Misfits. While in The Misfits, Glenn also released a solo 7". In 1983, he started Samhain with Misfits photographer and roadie Eerie Von and Mourning Noise drummer Steve Zing. Glenn was Samhain's singer and songwriter, although he also contributed (at one time or another) guitar, bass, keyboard, piano, and drums while recording albums. In 1987, Glenn changed the name of the band to Danzig, his current band. He also recorded as Glenn Danzig And The Power And Fury Orchestra and has released a solo album, and produced or written music for Roy Orbison, Kinghorse, and Johnny Cash.
Doyle
Doyle, born on 09/15/1964, officially joined The Misfits in October 1980, but was playing with the band much earlier. He learned to play guitar from Jerry and Glenn at the age of thirteen and was present as early as the Static Age sessions, if only as an observer. His first show with The Misfits was on Halloween 1980 when he was just 16 years old. Doyle also played with Kryst The Conqueror and later brought back The Misfits with Jerry.
Dr. Chud
Dr. Chud played with Dan Kidney And The Pulsations for 8 years before joining Sardonica. During his time in Sardonica, he also played drums with Jerry and Doyle in Kryst The Conqueror. He also recorded an album with Sacred Trash before joining The Misfits. Dr. Chud was born 04/04/1964, and also attended Lodi High School. In addition to his work with The Misfits, Dr. Chud also played drums for Joey Ramone on the We Will Fall: A Tribute To Iggy Pop album, and also produced a recent Sardonica release. After leaving The Misfits, Chud and Michale Graves played as The Lost Boys before forming Graves.
Michale Graves
From 1988 until the early 1990s, Michale sang for Bambi Slam (later known as Social Outcast), and from 1993 until 1994, for Valmont. Before joining The Misfits in 1995, Michale was in Mulch. During the summer of 1998, Michale left the band for a few months, and was replaced by Myke Hideous. He left the band in 2000 and briefly returned in 2001 for the M25 tour as guest vocalist. He now sings for Graves. Graves' birthday is 03/21/1975
Myke Hideous
Before joining The Misfits, Myke released a 1994 solo album called Out Of Anger and sang for The Empire Hideous. Born 10/16/1966, Myke joined The Misfits in May 1998, during a tough time for the band. He did vocals at all shows on the Europe and South America tours that summer, and was then replaced by Michale Graves in August 1998. He now sings for Spy Society 99.
Manny
Manny Martinez graduated from Lodi High School in 1971, and played drums in a number of Lodi, NJ bands. As a veteran of the local scene, Manny eventually met Glenn Danzig and started rehearsing with him in his project, The Misfits. After a few rehearsals, Manny completed the band's lineup by introducing Danzig to his friend Jerry Only. Manny's jazzy style of drum playing was recorded only on the first single, Cough/Cool. By the end of 1977, and after only a few live shows, Manny left the band.
Jerry Only
Jerry was born on 04/21/1959 and spent most of his life in Lodi, New Jersey. He received a bass guitar for Christmas his senior year at Lodi High School and began playing in February 1977, just 2 months later. The following month he was introduced to Glenn Danzig by Manny. When The Misfits broke up in 1983, Jerry went on to form Kryst The Conqueror with his brother Doyle. They later brought back The Misfits.
Robo
Robo joined The Misfits during the summer of 1982. He had been detained in England after touring with his former band Black Flag, and The Misfits provided him with a job when he got back. Robo's drumming is featured on the Earth A.D./Wolfs Blood LP and the Die, Die My Darling EP. He left the band in August 1983 because he couldn't tolerate Glenn any longer. Afterwards, Robo got married and worked for several years at Proedge with Jerry and Doyle. He later moved back to South America, but returned to the US in the mid-1990's. Robo is currently on playing on The Misfits' M25 tour.

Like the 13th Floor Elevators in the 60s and the New York Dolls in the early 70s, this US punk band was swiftly surrounded in a cloak of mythology and cult appeal. Long after their demise (they played their last live gig in 1983), their obscure US-only records were fetching large sums of money in collecting circles, among those fascinated by the band's spine-chilling mix of horror-movie imagery and hardcore. The Misfits were formed in New Jersey, New York, in 1977 by Jerry Only (bass) and Glenn Danzig (b. 23 June 1959, Lodi, New Jersey, USA; vocals) and, like many aspiring new wave acts, played in venues such as CBGB's, adding guitarist Bobby Steele and drummer Joey Image. Later that year, "Cough Cool" became their first single on their own Plan 9 label. A four-track EP, Bullet (in a sleeve showing John F. Kennedy's assassination), was recorded before their debut album, and was followed by "Horror Business". A third single, "Night Of The Living Dead', surfaced in 1979, the reference to the classic George A. Romero movie revealing the Misfits" continued fascination with blood-and-guts horror. Then came an EP, Three Hits From Hell, recorded in 1980, but not issued until the following April, and a seasonal October single, "Halloween". Having lost Steele to the Undead, replaced by Jerry's brother Doyle, Googy (aka Eerie Von) stepped in on drums during a European tour with the Damned as Image's narcotic problems worsened. The Misfits rounded off 1981 by recording the seven-track mini-album Evilive, originally sold through the band's Fiend fan club, which also secured a German 12-inch release.
The band's only original UK release was a 12-inch EP, Beware. Other Misfits releases included several patchy albums that failed to capture their live impact: 1982's Walk Among Us, Earth A.D. (aka Wolfsblood) and the posthumous brace, Legacy Of Brutality and Misfits. Danzig issued his first solo single in 1981, "Who Killed Marilyn?", later forming Samhain with Misfits drummer Eerie Von. He was subsequently venerated in heavy metal magazines in the late 80s as his eponymous Danzig vehicle gained ground. The other Misfits mainstays, brothers Jerry and Doyle, formed the hapless Kryst The Conqueror, who released one five-song EP with the help of Skid Row guitarist David Sabo. An ambitious 4-CD set was issued in 1996 in the shape of a coffin, and the following year the band re-formed, with Danzig replaced by Michale Graves, releasing an album for Geffen Records. Two years later they signed with Roadrunner Records.
